Privacy Policy

Give Thanks (“the App,” “we,” “us”) helps you write a daily gratitude entry before your distracting apps unlock. We built the App to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what is collected and how it is used.
Information stored on your device
The following stays on your device and is not transmitted to us — we do not operate a server that receives it:
- Gratitude entries you write, and your daily streak.
- Onboarding answers (such as your goals, faith tradition, and screen-time range) used to personalize the experience.
- App selections for blocking. Which apps you choose to shield are managed on-device through Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework. This information is handled by iOS and is never visible to us.
- Sign in with Apple identifier. If you sign in, we store the identifier (and your name, if you choose to share it) locally to recognize you. Apple manages the authentication, and you may hide your email address via Apple's Private Relay.
- Reminder preferences for the optional local notification.
Subscriptions
Give Thanks is free to download. Optional donation subscriptions that support the App are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives purchase and receipt information from Apple and assigns an anonymous app-user identifier to determine whether your subscription is active. We never receive your credit card number or full Apple ID details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your personal data.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics-tracking SDKs.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention & deletion
Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the App or remove the App, which erases the associated data. You can also reset your entries and answers from within the App's settings.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
