These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Give Thanks mobile application (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sell, or redistribute the App.

2. What the App does

Give Thanks helps you build a gratitude habit by using Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to shield apps you select until you write a daily gratitude entry. You control which apps are shielded and can change or remove them at any time in the App. The App is a personal wellness and productivity tool; it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to use the App.

4. Free download & optional subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. It also offers optional auto-renewable donation subscriptions that support ongoing development. Purchasing a subscription is entirely voluntary and is not required to use the core features of the App.

Auto-renewable subscription terms

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate shown at purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

5. Payments & refunds

All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not process payments or store your payment details. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies; you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Your content

Gratitude entries and other content you create belong to you and, as described in our Privacy Policy, are stored on your device. You are responsible for the content you write.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt to circumvent its security or licensing, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. App-blocking relies on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks and the correct configuration of your device; we do not guarantee that shielding will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
